Walk among the wild

A humble beginning

Trevor Edwards is a business leader, and the former brand president of global brand management for A athletic brand, a leading distributor, and marketer for sportswear. He gained over 25 years of experience working in the marketing division and later received a promotion to be the company’s overall leader. Edward was born in Norbury, South London, in 1962, where he spent much of his childhood raking leaves and picking apples. His family virtues made him self-confident, which contributed a lot to shaping his personality.

Countless skills

Edward was unhappy when his family decided to move to Jamaica at the age of 13 years. During his stay in Kingston, he developed a love for sports, precisely soccer, and basketball. In addition, Edward also participated in gymnastics and cricket. Furthermore, Edward also excelled academically during his high school years, where he displayed proficiency in languages, such as German, French, and Latin. Later, he joined Baruch College in New York and attained a degree in Business and an M.B.A in international marketing and finance.

Working experience

Edward joined Colgate-Palmolive in 1986 as a brand marketer and later worked at A athletic brand, where he rose to be the vice president of marketing for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Also, Edward is among the 50 Most Powerful Blacks in Sports and the Most Influential Minorities in Sports. Now, Trevor Edwards is working with major brands to build diverse teams, coaching CEOs, and helping talent agencies to develop strategies for addressing racial discrimination across industries.
