Dickey’s is a popular barbecue restaurant that is known for slow-cooking meat for several hours to develop flavor and tenderness. Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has recently partnered with Tyson, one of the world’s largest meat companies, to introduce a home product that enables consumers to prepare ribs at home that have the flavor that Dickey’s is known for.
Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey’s BBQ Franchise, revealed that the product is packaged in an oven bag that seals in flavors that mimic what customers would experience at Dickey’s. A representative from Tyson explained that the new product provides a way to offer a superior product from a reputable restaurant to its fans, enabling them to enjoy the food they have come to love at home.
Tyson Foods is initially offering the product at Super Valu grocery stores where shoppers will find the ribs in the meat section. The oven-ready bag is ventilated, and preparation only takes 90 minutes when cooked at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Customers can choose between three flavors that include spicy, original and sweet.
